Remnants of what may be.

I bought Fabric! YAY! I have plans. *rubs hands together* muahaha. HATS.

Ignore the Muslin, that is so I can make my Patterns and put them away. (you know, once i get the hard part done)

The Frog will go just above the bill, to the right, off center. Because it's PRETTY. (And it's totally for me. so there)

This is an upholstery fabric, I bought a leather swatch for the bill to keep with the Classic look. There should be enough for two hats. I'm excited.  I'm going to make the Rust one soon,

Ohana, Oh Hannah!

I am sick. It figures. I have exams tomorrow and i have what I have lovingly named the Black Cold. It's similar to the Black Death, minus the black and the death. It's just the worst cold ever. I have a wake to go to this weekend, it's sort of a pajama event, which sounds perfect for a spreader of the Black Cold. But I really would prefer if My Ohana Tribe did not get the death Plague, especially not from me. So we'll have to see how it goes.

You're going to learn very soon (how about now?) that I have what I would call Multiple soul mates. There is the one that everyone should sort of just figure. My Partner, the viking that sleeps in my bed, certainly counts for one. I also have Bea. Bea Bea Bea. Bea Approached me today  with the Quandary about perhaps starting up a crafting business. Sure, I said, Sure. And so KillaBea's Crafts was born. (I am the Killa half, just so ya know) We'll see what  comes of it. I'm going to drive my black-cold-ed behind to the craft store tomorrow and grab up  some of the amazing fall colors that just so happen to be on clearance right now. That will be after the exams... Rationalizing Radicals and Accusative Case in German. JOY. I would actually almost enjoy studying for both if being in my skin didn't feel so much like a death sammich. See, I went to the Gym with the viking on Monday. He kicked my butt via weight machines. I can now barely lift my arms. I'm squishy compared to him. So, now my arms and pecks hurt so bad that i noticed that not wearing a bra makes my chest hurt due  to the amount of pressure caused by my blessed anatomy. I  am literally a lunch portion of a pain and plague sandwich with a side of bitching and a dash of the dramatic. At least I know? Right?

I want to make a hat... next stop.. hat makens (after  some sleep and some exams and some craft storing)

I have some OD green Corduroy... I think it's going to be a hat for Vet's day.

One Wreath To Rule Them All.

I have a thing about the Holidays, I have a hard time really enjoying them anymore. This is due to a bunch of crap that has nothing to do with the slice of awesomeness above. We'll just say they're rough. I do, however, adore wreathes. not the crappy kind made of bells or fake tree, no, I like them to be homespun, a little quirky, and a whole lot of hot glue. I present to you, my new wreath. In future posting I will be smarter in the order that I post these things, for example, I will take pictures of the great bags of crap that I bring home from the store, my burned fingers, and my friend making fun of me in a German accent.  For now you get the wreath, in all of it's pretty, classy, and yet crafty glory.

This Key was purchased from Pier One. I'm not usually a huge fan of them, as they're expensive for what you get. They've also lost a great deal of their import charm in recent years. no, Cost Plus World Market (which is right next door) has my import wonderland usually. This time around, however, I was desperate for something that i could not put my finger on. I think the key turned out perfectly.

Those birds are amazing. I think they're possibly the cutest things ever. If you'll notice, the wreath hanger has a piece of ribbon glued to it. this is because it was free, from the friend that mocked me in Deutsche. Alas, it was covered in silly and ugly holly art. I fixed it.

The dangley bits were part of a random piece of trim. She said I could not find a way to use it without the ugliness of a short piece of trim oozing onto the wreath. I win. Everything but the key was purchased at Michael's Crafts. Total this was about a $25 dollar project. ($50, but there were two wreathes and a scrap project as well.)

This would be the scrap Project. I just had a ton of glittery leaves laying around and some fruit. I also had a left over tassel from a previous project. It turned out well. I now how a little bit of holiday cheer that i didn't have before, and a successful stitch and bitch completed.
